As part of curbing the accommodation issue confronted by students on the CCTU campus, the University has signed an MOU with CPT by granting the company five acres of land to build an ultramodern  One Thousand, Five Hundred bed student hostel and other facilities, on a Build Own Operate and Transfers (BOOT) basis. The project, which is worth Five Million United State Dollars (USD 5, 000, 000.00) would be executed, designed, and completed by the Developers.

The project, which is expected to be completed within a year, shall commence a month after the Developer has notified the University that it has secured funds to begin the project. According to the agreement signed by the two parties, it can be confirmed that the land is a bona fide property of the University and it has the right to grant the concession to the Developer and ensures that the Developer occupies and develops the property without encumbrance. The University shall also assist the Developer with all geospatial and geotechnical data in its possession at the time of contracting. The land shall also not be subject to a mortgage or used as collateral in any form without the prior written consent of the University.

In order to meet the required standard hostel facilities, samples of materials to be used for the execution of the project shall be inspected by the Ghana Standards Authority or any other statutory body in Ghana. This would help eliminate future hazards. In spite of all these, the 1,500 hostel bed facilities shall be used to accommodate students and be rented to institutions or organizations during CCTU vacations. The Developers shall exercise the rights and powers to control and manage the usage of the hostels and incorporate generally in its management, and the code of conduct for CCTU students.
